New Roscommon County Food Pantry Executive Director Chris Ashcraft said he took on the role of executive director at the food pantry because of the late Lynda Hogaboom. Hogaboom had served as the executive director prior to her November 2021 death. Ashcraft said Hogaboom, along with his mother are why he is serving in the role. He said his mother at one point needed food assistance, however, she would not ask because of the stigma attached to seeking assistance.
